Work orders and cylinder history

All work on Cold Fire Super Systems systems and cylinders requires an authorized work order before it is performed. The purpose is to preserve history and document the work performed. The work order describes the work to be performed and provides practical help for the installer. Include or reference the applicable drawings, manuals and other items attached to the serial-number registration record. No parts may be ordered without an authorized work order to charge them against. If an inspection identifies a replacement, document the authorized part change against the work order, including parts supplied from distributor stock. Save final work documentation on the online serial-number registration page and link it to the work order. Include machine/system identity, cylinder serial number(s), date, person performing the work, work completed, parts removed and installed, cylinder changes, and applicable inspection or test results. Retain original records. Add subsequent work, notes and corrections as dated entries linked to the work order; do not overwrite prior records. Distributors may hold their own parts stock, so a purchasing checkpoint alone cannot ensure documentation. Explain the history and service purpose of the requirement and ask distributors to record all work and part changes, including stock-held parts, against the work order and serial number.
